Weddings

Central Christian Church built and dedicated this building in 1947. This building was “Built to last 100 years”. In 1980, Central Christian relocated to their current home at the corner of Rock Road and North 29th. Unfortunately, the building remained vacant from 2005 until 2010 and fell into disrepair.

In 2006, a gentleman in California, who attended this church as a child, bought the building with hopes of restoring it. Together we have partnered with him to preserve and restore it to its former glory. We have restored the Grand Sanctuary, the Reception Hall, all of the utilities, classrooms, offices and some of the restrooms.

We are a small church body and have decided to allow this facility to be used for weddings and memorials. Our hope is that in doing this we can raise the capital needed to install heating and air conditioning in the Grand Sanctuary.

The Grand Sanctuary is available for weddings from March 1st through June 30th and September 1st through November 30th. As noted above there is no heating or air conditioning in the Grand Sanctuary at this time.

The Grand Sanctuary seats 600 guests. To reserve your special date with us, there is a $250 refundable deposit. This guarantees your date and will be held in reserve if there are any damages to the building. The required donation for use of the Grand Sanctuary is $1000. Included in this cost are dressing rooms for the bride and groom, the use of restrooms for them and the guests, as well as a sound tech. This will give you a 3 hour time frame the day of the wedding. This time frame includes all wedding day activities; wedding day preparation, the wedding ceremony, photography and cleanup. Any additional time will be charged by the hour at $100 an hour. You are allowed 3 hours the day before the wedding for your rehearsal and any decorating or set-up needed.

We allow tape and wire to be used for decorations as long as the wood and stone are not damaged. We want to preserve the beauty and historical significance of our chapel; we don't allow the use of pins, staples or nails for decorations or hangings. Any decorations must be removed at the end of the event.

We also have a Classic Chapel that seats 75 guests. To reserve your special date with us, there is a $250 refundable deposit. The required donation for use of the Classic chapel is $350.

If you require a Sound Technician, we can supply that for an additional donation of $150. If you choose to use your own Sound Technician or DJ, they must supply their own equipment.
